Senior Security Risk & Governance Lead – Global Freelance Contract
We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Risk & Governance Lead to join a major global financial services organisation on a long-term freelance assignment.
This is a high-profile role, providing independent security oversight and influencing senior leaders across an international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global security risk and governance oversight
- Own and develop the Security Management Plan
- Oversee FCA, PRA and global regulatory compliance
- Engage with internal and external regulatory stakeholders
- Lead security culture and Security Champion programmes
- Provide independent challenge and assurance
- Oversee managed security services and strategic suppliers
- Report key security risks, controls and priorities to senior leadership
Key Requirements
- Senior security leadership experience in a regulated global organisation
- Strong security risk management and governance expertise
- Second Line of Defence experience
- Knowledge of FCA, PRA and international regulatory requirements
- Experience engaging with regulators
- Security Management Plan or security strategy ownership
- Managed security services experience
- Ideally SFIA Level 6, CIISec membership or UK Cyber Security Council Chartered status
