The role: The SAP D&S Technical Solution Architect – Enterprise Integration is responsible for the technical architecture, design, and integration strategy for SAP Defence & Security (DFPS/D&S) within a highly secure, regulated environment. The role focuses on enterprise integration, ensuring SAP D&S integrates seamlessly with SAP S/4HANA and non-SAP systems used across defence, logistics, maintenance, and operational platforms. The architect will work closely with functional DFPS consultants, SAP architects, cybersecurity teams, and defence stakeholders to deliver a robust, scalable, and secure integration landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Integration Design: Define and own the end-to-end SAP D&S enterprise integration architecture. Design integration patterns between SAP DFPS/D&S and:
- SAP S/4HANA (MM, PM, EAM, FI, SD, PP)
- SAP EWM / WM
- SAP HR/HCM / SuccessFactors
- External defence systems (logistics, fleet management, readiness systems)
- SAP PI/PO or SAP Integration Suite (CPI)
- IDocs, RFCs, Web Services, APIs
- Secure file transfer and message-based integrations
- Government and military security classifications
- Secure network zoning and data segregation
- Defence cybersecurity policies
- Authentication, authorisation, encryption
- Role‑based access control (SAP GRC, PFCG)
- Secure interface handling and audit logging
- Architecture design
- Build oversight
- Integration testing
- Cutover and go‑live
Required Skills & Experience:
- Essential: 7+ years SAP technical architecture experience. Strong hands‑on experience with:
- SAP PI/PO and/or SAP Integration Suite (CPI)
- SAP S/4HANA technical integration
- IDoc, API, RFC, SOAP/REST interfaces
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable working with military and government personnel. High attention to detail and documentation discipline. Ability to operate calmly in complex, highly controlled environments.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience. SAP technical certifications preferred. Active or eligible SC/DV security clearance highly advantageous.
Key Deliverables: Enterprise integration architecture and design documentation. Interface and middleware technical specifications. Security‑compliant integration designs. Support for SIT, UAT, go‑live, and hyper‑care. Knowledge transfer and technical documentation.
