SAP Delivery Director

The Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Programme Leader to lead complex business transformation programmes from inception through to successful completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead complex SAP business transformation programmes from inception through to completion.

• Ensure successful programme delivery on time, within budget and to agreed quality standards.

• Manage, motivate and lead geographically distributed teams, including multi-vendor environments and complex client organisations.

• Develop and implement robust, well-structured programme delivery frameworks.

• Collaborate effectively with IT, business and change management teams to ensure successful programme outcomes.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite and senior client stakeholders.

• Lead teams in the preparation of large-scale proposals, programme plans and client presentations.

• Articulate compelling, value-based propositions and leverage consulting differentiators and established frameworks.

• Own and review programme financials, ensuring commercial performance is effectively managed.

• Lead proposal presentations and contribute to the development of compelling client propositions.

• Mentor and coach consulting resources, supporting the development of high-performing teams.

Requirements

SAP Programme & Transformation Leadership

• Extensive experience leading challenging business transformation programmes, with a proven programme-level delivery track record across the full lifecycle of SAP programmes.

• Proven ability to deliver complex programmes against time, cost, quality and budget constraints, including under challenging circumstances.

• Proven project and programme delivery experience across multiple full-lifecycle SAP implementations.

• Experience delivering significant, complex multi-country SAP rollouts across ECC and S/4HANA environments.

• Strong understanding of how to establish programmes for success across IT, Business and Change workstreams.

• Ability to define robust programme delivery frameworks and apply them effectively in complex client environments.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Proven ability to lead teams in complex environments involving:

  • Multiple vendors

  • Complex client organisational structures

  • Geographically distributed teams

  • Local and remote consultants

  • Global delivery models

• Experience working with global teams and offshore resources.

• Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders within client organisations.

• Substantial experience working in client-facing consulting roles.

• Proven ability to mentor and coach consulting resources and build high-performing teams.

Commercial & Consulting

• Experience leading teams in the preparation of large-scale proposals and programme plans.

• Ability to identify and articulate consulting differentiators, including the use of specific consulting frameworks and methodologies.

• Strong ability to develop and articulate value-based propositions.

• Experience owning and reviewing programme financials and contributing to commercial management.

• Ability to lead proposal presentations and create compelling propositions that demonstrate clear value to clients.

Analytical & Communication Skills

• Experience gathering, validating, synthesising, documenting and communicating data and information effectively to a range of audiences.

• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively across complex transformation environments.

Mobility

• Willingness to travel in line with project and client requirements.
