Next Ventures is seeking an experienced Oracle OIC Developer on a contract role with our client in Europe.
Start Date: Immediate
Location: Europe
Travel: Fully Remote
Duration: 6 months + extensions
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement OIC Integrations: Design, build, and deploy complex integration flows within OIC, utilizing various adapters (e.g., Oracle ERP Cloud, HCM Cloud, REST, SOAP, FTP, Database). Configure connections, perform data mapping, and implement robust error handling and logging for both scheduled and real-time integrations.
- Optimize OIC Performance: Analyze existing integrations to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Implement best practices for OIC performance, leveraging asynchronous processing, batching, and parallel processing, while actively monitoring and addressing performance issues.
- Design and Build Integration Interfaces: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translating them into technical specifications. Develop scalable and efficient integration interfaces using OIC's visual development environment and integrate with third-party systems via SOAP and REST APIs.
- Ensure Code Quality and Reliability: Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and performance guidelines. Develop and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests to guarantee functionality and stability, and document solutions clearly.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Proven expertise in designing, developing, and deploying OIC integrations across various Oracle Cloud Applications (e.g., ERP, HCM, SCM) and third-party systems.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns (e.g., point-to-point, publish/subscribe, request/response, data transformation).
- Proficiency in working with OIC Adapters (e.g., Oracle EBS Adapter, Oracle HCM Cloud Adapter, REST Adapter, SOAP Adapter, FTP Adapter, Database Adapter).
- Solid experience with SOAP and REST APIs, XML, and JSON.
- Demonstrable knowledge of OIC performance tuning techniques and best practices.
- Experience with code review processes and a commitment to high-quality code.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
