A large organisation is undertaking a major ERP transformation, migrating from a legacy SAP platform to Oracle Fusion Cloud across HCM. This role is responsible for end-to-end functional delivery across Core HR and Talent modules, including Learning, Recruiting, Performance Management, and Talent & Succession. The consultant will lead functional design, data migration assurance, testing, and business readiness to ensure a successful and compliant HCM transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- HCM Functional Design
- Lead functional design across Oracle Fusion HCM Core HR and Talent modules (Core HR, Learning, Recruiting, Performance, Talent & Succession).
- Translate legacy SAP HCM (PA/OM) processes into Oracle best-practice solutions.
- Design organisational structures including jobs, grades, positions, hierarchies, and worker lifecycle models.
- Define learning catalogues, recruitment workflows, performance cycles, and talent frameworks.
- Challenge legacy customisations and drive standardisation aligned to Oracle functionality.
- Data Migration & Data Integrity
- Define HCM data migration scope (workers, hierarchies, talent data, learning history).
- Support data cleansing, mapping, and validation activities.
- Perform reconciliation of migrated HR and talent data.
- Ensure GDPR compliance and data quality standards are met.
- Testing & UAT
- Define and execute end-to-end HCM test scenarios (hire-to-retire lifecycle).
- Support SIT and lead HR and talent module UAT activities.
- Ensure coverage across Core HR, Learning, Recruiting, and Performance processes.
- Manage defect triage and prioritisation based on business impact.
- Risk, Controls & Governance
- Identify and manage HCM functional, data, and adoption risks.
- Maintain risk logs and escalated issues impacting payroll, compliance, or operations.
- Ensure solutions align with data protection, audit, and governance requirements.
- Cutover, Go-Live & Adoption
- Support HCM cutover planning, including data readiness and transition activities.
- Validate business readiness for go-live across HR and talent functions.
- Provide post-go-live support during hypercare and stabilisation.
- Support user adoption, training inputs, and knowledge transfer.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering SAP to Oracle Fusion HCM implementations.
- Strong background in SAP HCM (PA/OM) and Oracle Fusion HCM.
- Hands-on experience across Core HR and Talent modules (Learning, Recruiting, Performance, Talent & Succession).
- Experience with HCM data migration, validation, and reconciliation.
- Experience supporting or leading SIT/UAT cycles.
- Strong understanding of HR data structures, governance, and compliance (e.g., GDPR).
- Experience working in public sector or regulated environments.
