Head of Oracle Technologies at Next Ventures
Job Purpose:
The Oracle Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Oracle ERP projects (e.g., Oracle Fusion Cloud, EBS upgrades). The role requires strong project management expertise, in-depth understanding of Oracle ERP solutions, and the ability to coordinate across technical, functional, and business teams to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Oracle ERP projects, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners to define project goals and align on business outcomes.
- Manage cross-functional teams including Oracle functional consultants, technical developers, data migration specialists, and testers.
- Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering, solution design reviews, and testing cycles.
- Track project progress using standard PM tools and methodologies (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid), reporting regularly to senior stakeholders.
- Manage risks, issues, change control, and project governance.
- Ensure alignment with Oracle best practices and business processes across Finance, Supply Chain, HCM, or relevant modules.
- Oversee data migration planning, cutover strategy, and post-go-live support coordination.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, GDPR if applicable).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification required.
- Oracle Cloud Certification (e.g., Oracle Cloud ERP Implementation Specialist) is a strong plus.
- 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years leading Oracle ERP implementations or upgrades (e.g., Fusion Cloud, EBS R12).
Skills and Competencies:
- Deep understanding of Oracle ERP modules (Finance, SCM, HCM, Projects, etc.).
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage vendors and third-party implementation partners.
- Proficient in tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar.
- Knowledge of data migration, integrations, and Oracle reporting tools (BI Publisher, OTBI, etc.) is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, risk management, and problem-solving.
- Experience working with Oracle partners (e.g., Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, IBM).
- Familiarity with Public Sector, Higher Education, or Healthcare Oracle implementations (if applicable).
- Experience in leading multi-country or multi-business unit rollouts.
