Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle ERP Cloud Systems Lead to play a critical role in a large-scale ERP transformation programme. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with strong Oracle ERP Cloud configuration expertise who can bridge the gap between business requirements, system design, and technical delivery.

The successful candidate will act as the organisation's internal Oracle ERP Cloud technical authority, leading the design validation, configuration oversight, integration assurance, and long-term system ownership of the new ERP platform. This role requires someone who has delivered Oracle ERP Cloud implementations in complex environments and who is comfortable getting into the detail of system configuration, solution architecture, controls, integrations, and data integrity — not just programme governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead Oracle ERP Cloud Systems SME across the ERP transformation programme
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight across Oracle ERP Cloud configuration, design, integrations, security, and environments
  • Review and validate system configuration completed by implementation partners and Systems Integrators
  • Ensure the solution is scalable, supportable, and aligned to business and finance process requirements
  • Work closely with Finance, IT, Business Process Owners, and programme stakeholders to translate requirements into robust Oracle ERP Cloud solutions
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance across Oracle ERP Cloud modules and configuration activities
  • Challenge and validate functional and technical design decisions to ensure best practice adoption
  • Oversee system integrations, data quality, reconciliation controls, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live stabilisation activities
  • Ensure strong governance around configuration management, environments, roles, access, and change control
  • Build internal capability and documentation to support long-term ownership and continuous improvement after go-live
  • Act as the escalation point for ERP systems issues, risks, and technical decision-making

Required Experience

  • Strong hands-on Oracle ERP Cloud configuration experience across Finance modules
  • Proven experience leading or supporting Oracle ERP Cloud implementations end-to-end
  • Deep understanding of Oracle ERP Cloud architecture, configuration principles, integrations, and data flows
  • Experience working alongside Systems Integrators and challenging delivery where required
  • Strong understanding of ERP controls, finance processes, and system governance
  • Experience with testing, defect management, cutover, and go-live support
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience operating in complex transformation programmes and matrix environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills

Desirable Experience

  • Experience across Oracle Financials Cloud modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, Procurement, or Projects
  • Exposure to Oracle reporting and analytics tools
  • Understanding of data migration and integration tooling
  • Experience establishing ERP support models and internal capability post-implementation
  • Previous experience within large, complex organisations
