Next Ventures are looking for a Technical Project Manager for a 6 month extendable contract with a large client in the Data Center industry.

The Role

  • Focused on design and processes for the Automation team and Construction teams on the ground.
  • Ensure selection process for System Integrators by the GC is fulfilled on time in line with project deadlines.
  • Lead cross-functional engagement across multiple teams.
  • Coordinate and standardise project reporting with System Integrator PMs for all in-flight projects.
  • Document and track controls related documentation, and create documentation for each site.
  • Ensure all required design and change instructions for the Controls design package is approved by the Construction PMs and reviewed by the Automation Engineers (enforce the process).
  • Facilitate the review for the BMS/Controls documents against deliverables for QA/QC.
  • Coordinate the review of pre-construction and As-Built BMS/Controls design documents from the Project Design Consultants by Automation SMEs.
  • Reporting of Controls tasks and dependencies for development and remediation projects as well as project resources against project schedules.
  • Lead process improvement and cost optimisation initiatives for BMS/Controls related activities during commissioning.

Your Experience

  • Experience with Building Management Systems.
  • Strong Project Management experience and knowledge of space and power management for colocation environments.
  • Hands on experience within automation systems/critical environments.
  • Experience with mission critical infrastructure and designing cages and associated Infrastructure.
  • Data Centre experience advantageous.
