The SAP Procurement Solution Architect is responsible for leading the design and delivery of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Procurement solutions for automotive clients.

The role focuses on direct procurement processes, ensuring the solution supports strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, materials procurement, and resilient supply chain operations.

Working with business stakeholders and delivery teams, the architect drives best-practice procurement processes aligned with the demands of automotive manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end solution design for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Sourcing and Procurement within an automotive environment.
  • Design and optimise direct procurement processes, including supplier collaboration, sourcing, purchasing, contract management, and inventory integration.
  • Ensure procurement solutions support just-in-time (JIT) and just-in-sequence (JIS) manufacturing requirements.
  • Define integration between procurement, manufacturing, logistics, finance, and supplier systems.
  • Provide architecture governance and ensure alignment with SAP best practices and enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate procurement requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
  • Support programme delivery through design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
  • Identify opportunities to standardise processes and improve procurement efficiency across the organisation.

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience delivering SAP S/4HANA Cloud Sourcing and Procurement solutions.
  • Strong functional expertise in SAP Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Supplier Management, and Direct Procurement.
  • Proven experience working within the automotive industry, supporting complex manufacturing supply chains.
  • Knowledge of JIT/JIS procurement, supplier collaboration, and production-driven purchasing processes.
  • Experience integrating procurement with manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, and finance functions.
  • Strong stakeholder management, solution architecture, and governance experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
