SAP MDG Consultant / Senior Consultant
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced
SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant to join a growing SAP team and play a key role in the design, implementation and ongoing optimisation of SAP MDG solutions.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams and technical teams to deliver robust master data governance processes across the organisation.
The role will cover the full lifecycle of MDG solutions, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation, testing, deployment and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and support
SAP MDG solutions across relevant master data domains.
- Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into effective MDG solutions.
- Configure SAP MDG workflows, data models, user interfaces and governance processes.
- Work with business stakeholders to define and improve master data governance strategies and processes.
- Support the integration of SAP MDG with
- SAP S/4HANA, ECC and other SAP/non-SAP systems
- Design and implement data replication and distribution processes using relevant SAP technologies.
- Support data quality, validation, enrichment and approval processes.
- Work with functional teams across areas such as
- Material, Customer, Supplier, Finance and Business Partner master data
- Develop functional specifications for technical development where required.
- Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, UAT and defect resolution.
- Provide ongoing production support and troubleshoot MDG-related issues.
- Contribute to data migration, harmonisation and cleansing activities.
- Ensure solutions align with master data governance, security and compliance standards.
- Contribute to the development of MDG standards, best practices and governance frameworks.

- Experience with SAP MDG implementation, rollout or enhancement projects.
- Strong understanding of master data governance principles and processes.

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within large‑scale SAP transformation programmes is desirable.
