The SAP Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership across SAP consulting engagements, managing client relationships at the executive level, driving business development, and ensuring successful delivery of SAP transformation programs. Key Responsibilities
- Client & Engagement Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders and client leadership teams.
- Lead SAP transformation programs from strategy through implementation and support.
- Provide governance and oversight across multiple SAP engagements.
- Ensure delivery quality, client satisfaction, and achievement of business outcomes.
- Manage executive steering committees and program reviews.
- Practice Development
- Build and grow SAP consulting capabilities across functional and technical domains.
- Develop go-to-market strategies, service offerings, and accelerators.
- Drive innovation and adoption of emerging SAP technologies and best practices.
- Support internal capability development, training, and mentoring initiatives.
- Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective clients.
- Lead proposal development, solution positioning, and client presentations.
- Support pre-sales activities including estimations, solution architecture, and statements of work.
- Achieve revenue, utilization, and growth targets for the SAP practice.
- Program & Delivery Management
- Oversee delivery of SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations, and optimization programs.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to scope.
- Manage risks, dependencies, resource planning, and escalation processes.
- Establish delivery governance standards and PMO best practices.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop SAP consultants, managers, and delivery teams.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance consulting culture.
- Participate in hiring, workforce planning, and performance management.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 12+ years of SAP consulting and delivery experience.
- 5+ years in leadership or practice management roles within a consultancy environment.
- Strong experience leading enterprise-scale SAP transformation programs.
- Deep knowledge of SAP solutions such as: SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP BTP, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP FICO, SD, MM, PP, WM/EWM, or related modules.
- Proven experience managing executive stakeholders and large client accounts.
- Strong financial, commercial, and delivery management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP certifications in relevant modules or technologies.
- Experience with cloud transformation and RISE with SAP initiatives.
- Experience across multiple industries such as manufacturing, retail, utilities, healthcare, or public sector.
- Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and modern ERP delivery methodologies.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
