Overview
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of a strategic integration and transformation programme for a UK public sector client. The successful contractor will manage delivery across multiple technical workstreams, including integration activities involving the Boomi platform. The role requires strong stakeholder management skills, governance experience, and the ability to coordinate technical teams within a complex public sector environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT and integration-focused projects
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies
- Coordinate cross-functional technical teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Drive governance, reporting, RAID management, and programme communications
- Ensure successful delivery against agreed milestones and outcomes
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and project delivery meetings
- Work closely with technical architects and Boomi consultants to ensure alignment across delivery streams
- Support change management and business readiness activities
- Produce project documentation, status reports, and executive updates
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering complex IT transformation projects
- Strong project management background within public sector or regulated environments
- Experience managing integration or middleware-related projects
- Strong understanding of Agile and/or Prince2 methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and delivery workstreams
- Strong risk and issue management capabilities
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience delivering Boomi or integration platform projects
- Knowledge of UK public sector governance and procurement environments
- Prince2, PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications
- Experience managing third-party suppliers and technical contractors
