ERP Architecture & Transformation Lead
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a rapidly growing, technology-led organisation undergoing a significant transformation of its global finance technology landscape.
The organisation is reviewing its future ERP strategy and is looking for an experienced ERP Architecture & Transformation Lead to shape the technology direction and ultimately lead the delivery of a major enterprise transformation.
This is an opportunity to join at an early stage and influence technology selection, architecture, implementation strategy and team development.
The Role
As ERP Architecture & Transformation Lead, you will provide senior technical leadership across the ERP transformation lifecycle.
Initially, you will assess the existing technology landscape, contribute to ERP evaluation and selection, and play a key role in the RFP and architecture process.
Following platform selection, you will lead the design and implementation of the future-state finance technology environment, working closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Finance, Product, Data and Security, alongside external implementation partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and shape the future ERP and finance technology architecture.
- Contribute to ERP selection and overall technology strategy.
- Lead technical elements of the RFP and vendor evaluation process.
- Develop future-state architecture and integration strategies.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the ERP implementation.
- Make key architecture, engineering and technology decisions.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and provide technical governance across implementation partners.
- Build and lead the internal technology team required to deliver the transformation.
Technology & Transformation Scope
The transformation will cover a broad finance technology landscape, including:
- Core ERP and financial accounting
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Payments
- Financial reporting and consolidation
- Tax and regulatory reporting
The successful candidate will need to understand how these capabilities fit together within a wider enterprise architecture.
About You
We are looking for a technically strong ERP leader with experience delivering complex enterprise transformations.
Ideally, you will have:
- Significant experience with a major ERP platform such as SAP or Oracle.
- Experience leading or architecting large-scale ERP transformations.
- Experience with ERP selection, technology assessment and/or RFP processes.
- Strong enterprise architecture and system design capability.
- Experience transitioning from legacy ERP environments to modern enterprise platforms.
- Strong understanding of finance technology and financial processes.
- Strong SOX / financial controls experience.
- Experience across security, integrations and wider technology architecture.
