For a global Data Center customer, we are looking for an Automation Engineer with a focus on Commissioning to support their project in Cardiff, UK. You will need to be on site 4‑5 days per week; this may change depending on project phase.
The Role
- Support Commissioning of the DC site
- Assist in troubleshooting PLC, SCADA, network, and other control system issues during incidents under the guidance of senior engineers
- Support the coordination of milestones across MEP, IT, and Construction teams to help ensure adequate time for system pre‑testing and commissioning
- Contribute to the development and deployment of PLC and HMI applications for control system projects with supervision
- Perform basic PLC and HMI application updates and testing in live or staging environments following established procedures
- Support remediation activities and routine maintenance tasks related to the Building Automation System in collaboration with Site Operations
Your Experience
- Over 3 years Industrial Automation experience with a focus on Commissioning
- Exposure to mission‑critical environments, preferably a Data Center
- Experience with Rockwell SCADA systems
- Knowledge of Ignition is a strong advantage
- Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
