We are partnered with a global brand that is searching for a Windows Automation Consultant. They specialize in building bespoke IT solutions for clients across multiple industries. Since its establishment, they have rapidly grown to become a household name within the industry and are looking forward, aiming to solidify their position with their partners. They are embarking on a new project with a key partner and are seeking a Windows Automation DevOps Consultant to work on the design and development of infrastructure automation.
Not only will you be deployed on a key, long-term project, but you will also be part of a team that will continue to support critical projects with your expertise. You come with experience with Windows OS, infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code, and automation scripting/tools. The client is based in London; however, this is a remote position!
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and develop infrastructure automation solutions
- Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
- Work alongside colleagues across automation and cross-functional teams to implement correct principles
- Develop and manage automation scripts/tools using Packer, Ansible, and other similar tools
- Maintain and optimise the Windows server environment
- Influence technical direction and provide support to junior colleagues on the project
Your Skills:
- Completed Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar discipline
- Strong experience as a DevOps/Automation Engineer
- Expert in Windows server environments (2019, 2022)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices & methodologies are part of your expertise
- Knowledge of automation scripting/tools such as Packer, Ansible
- Strong teamwork ethic, working closely with colleagues to manage and achieve deadlines
Due to the start of a new, exciting, and long-term project, this role is considered high-priority. You will be a key influencer within the project, and your experience within Windows/DevOps & Automation will be the necessary addition to achieve success.
