The role: As a Payroll Tech Support specialist for our Non-GB territories, you will be the driving force behind the seamless delivery of weekly and monthly payrolls for 1,400 colleagues across the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. You will bridge the gap between our people and our technology, managing the end-to-end processing of data through our Oracle systems and third-party integrations. This role is about more than just numbers; it is about ensuring our international teams are supported through accuracy, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
What you’ll take on:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll journey, from pulling timecard data in Oracle to running integrations with third-party systems.
- Identify and resolve system or payroll-related errors, ensuring every colleague is paid accurately and on time.
- Monitor system efficiencies and collaborate with our Tech Team to address gaps or inconsistencies in our processes.
- Work closely with the Development Team to test new procedures and support the wider payroll function to realise its full potential.
- Handle sensitive data with the utmost care, ensuring we remain transparent and responsible in everything we do.
- Lead year-end and start-of-year processes, including the submission and retrieval of critical data to and from HMRC and the Irish Revenue.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in Irish payroll, including a strong understanding of legislation, tax, and PRSI.
- A track record of following detailed task lists (run books) to completion for UK or Irish payroll cycles.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to use formulas like lookups to manage data effectively.
- The ability to produce precise documentation and communicate technical issues clearly to different teams.
- A calm, professional approach when working under pressure or toward strict deadlines.
- A positive attitude toward multitasking and a willingness to work unsociable hours, such as evenings or weekends, when pay run deadlines require it.
