Based at Head Office, Leicester. Working Pattern: Typically 5 days in the office with some flexibility once embedded into the role, with core hours between 8am-6pm.

Our Garment Technology teams work hard to ensure the quality of our Next product is always of the highest standard. Working alongside the Designers, Buyers, Merchandisers and Fabric Technologists; this role is key to the whole product critical path from start to finish.
Working closely with our Product team you’ll assist the Childrenswear Technology team in delivering essential technical support that helps us to ensure all Next products meet legal and accepted industry standards. Full of ideas and innovation, you’ll help to develop the Next Childrenswear ranges from providing technical input into design packs to effectively communicating our requirements to suppliers and factories. A guardian for quality and value, you’ll work alongside the Technologist to drive forward our technology strategy which will include assessing and approving garment fit and grading to our customers' quality expectations. You’ll also play a central role throughout the product journey – from developing new ranges through to managing the supplier base, preparing for launch while always closely analysing and responding to in-season feedback and performance.
A team player; you will have great people skills to communicate effectively within a multi-functional team. Using your technical experience & exceptional eye for technical detail, you will be working on a range of kids products. Utilising your qualifications & experience within garment technology, you’ll be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of manufacturing, construction, grading and fit. You’ll show drive and initiative to generate and implement new ideas in your department. Childrenswear experience would be a definite advantage for this role.
