Job Description:

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to complete a 12-month placement within our Next Womenswear, Dresses Design team. This role will support the Dresses team in our Womenswear division. The team designs and develops new ranges, taking responsibility for everything from trend prediction to design concept through to technical development and product selection.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a multi-fabric category with styles ranging from casual to occasion wear, providing exposure to a diverse and fast-paced team from day one.

The day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Providing support throughout the entire design process, from planning new ranges to product selection.
  • Collating design research, sourcing colour palettes, and preparing/updating design boards for each season.
  • Assisting with the production of design packs as needed.
  • Providing administrative support to the Design Team, including handling department requests, colour matching, archiving fabrics, and logging samples.

About You:

  • Recently graduated with a degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in fashion and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster relationships within teams.
  • Creative, proactive, and passionate about design, with a good understanding of knitwear design.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Must submit a digital portfolio as part of the application; applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
