We are expanding our product and engineering team in the UK and hiring a Senior Web Developer for an internal role working on the core NextMatch AI platform used by job seekers and employers globally.
About the Role
As a Senior Web Developer, you will own complex product features end-to-end. You will work on:
- Candidate journeys and onboarding flows
- Employer dashboards and tools
- Analytics views and internal admin interfaces
The role combines hands-on coding with architectural thinking and close collaboration with product, design, and data teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain modern, responsive web applications
- Lead implementation of complex front-end and full-stack features
- Architect and develop reusable components and a clear front-end structure
- Integrate with REST or GraphQL APIs and work with databases where needed
- Improve performance, security, and reliability across the platform
- Participate in code reviews and help define coding standards and best practices
- Collaborate with product and design on requirements, UX flows, and edge cases
- Mentor mid-level and junior developers and support their technical growth
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in web development
- At least 2 years in a senior or lead engineer capacity
- Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with at least one modern framework: React, Vue, or Angular
- Solid experience with at least one backend stack: Node.js, Python, PHP, Java, or .NET
- Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases, APIs, and Git
- Understanding of scalable architectures, caching, and basic DevOps practices
- Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a remote, distributed team
- Must be based in the United Kingdom and able to work UK business hours
