Our client, a successful and thriving dealership, who are going through a period of growth are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive work and a strong mechanical aptitude to develop their skills in a professional environment. The Vehicle Technician will ensure all vehicles meet safety and quality standards, contributing to customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our service centre.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults and issues.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, suspension work, and electrical system troubleshooting.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs with precision.
  • Test vehicles post-repair to ensure proper functioning before returning to customers.
  • Maintain detailed records of all work carried out on each vehicle.
  • Assist in ordering parts and managing inventory to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations during all tasks, including heavy lifting procedures when handling large or heavy components.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair work clearly and professionally.

Requirements of Vehicle Technician:

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
  • Level 3 qualified or Equivalent.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues and documenting work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to advance their career within the automotive industry while ensuring high standards of vehicle safety and performance.

Monday to Friday hours with a 1-3 Saturday morning rota.

Benefits:

  • Salary £35,000 - £37,500 Basic.
