This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate/future 2026 graduate to gain hands-on experience in offshore survey operations, working with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Graduate Online Surveyor, you will assist in acquiring and processing accurate positioning data while supporting offshore survey activities in adherence to project and company procedures. Working under the guidance of experienced Surveyors and the Party Chief, you will develop technical expertise and industry knowledge while ensuring compliance with Next Geosolutions’ and client QHSE standards. Successful candidates will be provided with full training and support of a mentor and other teams with the company during their transition from graduate entry to running their own Online shift.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, testing, calibration, and operation of hydrographic and geophysical survey equipment.
- Work using QINSy and other software to monitor data quality from all online survey systems and promptly report any non-conformance.
- Support the recording and reporting of equipment calibrations, vessel/ROV sensor offsets, and other key survey data.
- Maintain accurate logs and records during survey operations.
- Assist in processing survey data and reporting findings.
- Participate in toolbox talks and risk assessments.
- Support the deployment and recovery of survey sensors as directed by the Party Chief.
- Adhere to company and client QHSE procedures at all times.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Hydrographic Surveying, Geomatics, Geophysics, or a related field.
- Ability to obtain offshore industry certifications (e.g., BOSIET, OGUK medical).
- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team in challenging offshore environments.
