The predicted salary is between 18.5 - 19.5 £ per hour.

Job Type – Permanent

Salary - £18.50 - £19.50 per hour (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday (08.00am – 17:00pm), Friday (8.00am – 13.00pm)

Holiday entitlement: 25 days holiday + Bank holidays

Due to continued growth, Next Generation are recruiting for a Cylindrical Grinder to work with a well-established engineering company based in West Bromwich who specialise in precision engineering for the Aerospace Industry. As the Cylindrical Grinder you will be responsible for taking pride and accuracy within a precision engineering environment.

Duties of the Cylindrical Grinder:

  • Full setup and operation of surface and/or cylindrical grinders
  • Working to tight tolerances from engineering drawings
  • Selecting and dressing grinding wheels
  • In-process inspection and final quality checks
  • Maintaining high accuracy and finish standards
  • Working independently within a structured quality environment

The successful candidate for the Cylindrical Grinders position will have the following experience:

  • Proven experience in surface and/or cylindrical grinding
  • Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings
  • Strong understanding of tolerances and surface finishes
  • Confident setting up machines independently
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Reliable and self-motivated
