Job Title: HR & Payroll Administrator

Salary: Up to Β£30,000 p.a. (DOE)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 17.00pm

Friday 8.30am – 16:00pm

Next Generation have been appointed to recruitment for a HR & Payroll Administrator to work with an engineering business who supply parts into multiple industries. As the HR & Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for providing accurate, timely administrative and processing support across Payroll & HR, maintaining employee records. Processing payroll inputs and preparing standard HR documentation.

Duties of the HR & Payroll Administrator:

  • Process monthly payroll inputs β€” new starters, leavers, pay changes, overtime, absence and expenses β€” accurately and to the payroll deadline, liaising with the payroll bureau to resolve data queries.
  • Administration support regarding statutory payroll processes, including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP calculations, issuing P45s and P60s, and processing pension auto-enrolment opt-ins, opt-outs and contribution uploads.
  • Maintain and update employee records, personnel files and the HR system, ensuring data is accurate, complete and held securely and confidentially.
  • Process new starter and leaver administration β€” right-to-work checks, references, contracts and system access β€” and issue standard employment documentation from approved templates.
  • Maintain absence, holiday, training and certification records; produce routine HR and payroll reports; and file and archive documentation in line with GDPR and the company's data retention policy.

The successful candidate for the HR & Payroll Administrators position will have the following experience:

  • 3 – 5 year’s experience processing payroll cycles and statutory payroll documentation (SSP, SMP,SPP, SAP P45, P60) - (Essential)
  • Pension auto-enrolment administration - (Essential)
  • HR/Payroll system and Excel skills - (Essential)
  • CIPD Level 3 - (Desirable)
