Next Generation are currently recruiting for a Stores Controller to work with a well-established, family run business who have successfully supplied into the Aerospace industry for over 75 years. As the Material Stores Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Material Stores.
What’s on offer for the Stores Controller?
- £15 – 17 per hour depending on experience

Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 5.00pm, Friday 8am – 1.00pm
Main Duties of the Stores Controller:
- Unloading & correctly identifying the material ready for inspection
- Identifying & storing material following inspection
- Operate guillotine machinery to cut various sheet metals to the required size
- Reading and interpreting in-house specifications, technical drawings, and work orders to determine job requirements
- Allocating material to specific job cards using in-house computer system
- Maintaining material inventory using in-house computer system
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition
- Using handheld measuring equipment
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow and efficiency within the Material Stores environment
The successful candidate for the Stores Controller's position will have the following experience:
- Ability to use handheld measuring equipment (essential)
- Computer literate (in-house training on system will be provided)
- Ability to drive a fork truck (desirable)
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working within an aerospace environment, with attention to detail being key
