Salary: £32,000 - £35,000

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Working Hours: 37.5 per week between the hours of 8am – 6pm

We are currently recruiting for one of the UK’s leading logistics companies who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and driven Internal Sales Executive to join their dynamic team. As part of the internal sales team, you’ll play a key role in providing competitive quotations and solutions for international freight movements. You’ll work closely with customers, hauliers & shipping lines to secure the best possible pricing and service. We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, as quotes will often need to be followed up or discussed in more detail. Ideally a team player with great attention to detail, with a proactive and positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate rates with carriers, hauliers, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue accurate customer quotes and proposals.
  • Manage and follow up on customer enquiries.
  • Adjust pricing to secure new business opportunities.
  • Build strong, long-term customer and supplier relationships.
  • Deliver excellent service and support on a daily basis.
  • Handle general office duties including calls, filing, and post.

Skills and Experience needed:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of ocean freight operations.
  • Great communication and customer service skills.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
