Next Generation are pleased to have been appointed to recruit for a Production Planner to work with a well-established engineering company based near Kingswinford. As the Production Planner, you will be responsible for processing and planning of orders for machined components.

Working hours for the Production Planner:

  • Monday – Friday 8am – 4.30pm

Duties of the Production Planner:

  • Process all new sales orders, ensuring routings selected are most economical and fully compliant with customer requirements
  • Review specifications and drawings, providing technical support and assistance to any departments within the business that require it
  • Create ITP’s / MPS’s based on customer requirements ensuring all technical and quality aspects are met
  • Work closely with production planning to ensure that the best route is chosen to suit the business's current capacity and capabilities
  • Dealing with customers regarding any queries of a technical nature where support is needed
  • Performing contract review of sales orders and routings
  • Deal with suppliers and procuring raw material / finished goods to meet customer demand

The successful candidate for the Production Planner position will have the following experience:

  • 3 – 5 years experience working as a Production Engineer/Planner (Essential)
  • Looking into the best route of manufacture (Essential)
  • Experience working within a machining environment (Essential)
  • Working within a Fasteners environment (Desirable)
  • Working with ERP Systems (Essential)
