Due to continued growth, I’m currently recruiting for a Heat Treatment Operative to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. As the Heat Treatment Operative, you will be responsible for operating counterbalance FLT’s and overhead cranes.
Duties of the Heat Treatment Operative:
- Operating machinery in the heat treatment area (chargers)
- Collect work from the forgings department to load into heat treatment
- Operating the pendant and cab-controlled cranes within the machine shop (All LOLER and associated training will be provided)
- Managing the logistics of the department by moving goods around using FLT’s and the cranes
- Loading and unloading of vehicles via forklift or crane
- General cleaning, tidying and removing any unwanted items from the department
- Support with continuous improvement
- Work as a team to maximise productivity
- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the Company’s H&S Policy
The successful candidate for the Heat Treatment Operative position will have the following experience:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience operating Counterbalance FLT’s (Essential)
- Experience working within a foundry (Desirable)
- Operating overhead cranes (Desirable)
