Due to continued growth I’m currently recruiting for a Forge Operative to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. As the Forge Operative you will be responsible for operating counterbalance FLT’s and overhead cranes. What’s on offer for the Forge Operative: * Competitive hourly rate up to £14.24 per hour * Weekly and monthly bonus * Additional bonus * Permanent opportunity Shift for the Forge Operative: * Monday – Thursday (6.00am – 16.00pm) Duties of the Forge Operative: * Operating machinery in the heat treatment area (chargers) * Collect work from the forgings department to load into heat treatment. * Operating the pendant and cab-controlled cranes within the machine shop. (All LOLER and associated training will be provided) * Managing the logistics of the department by moving goods around using FLT’s and the cranes. * Loading and unloading of vehicles via forklift or crane * General cleaning, tidying and removing any unwanted items from the department. * Support with continuous improvement * Work as a team to maximise productivity. * Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the Company’s H&S Policy. The successful candidate for the Forge Operatives position will have the following experience: * 3 – 5 years’ experience operating Counterbalance FLT’s (Essential) * Experience working within a foundry (Desirable) * Operating overhead cranes (Desirable) Due to the high number of applications we receive, we are sometimes not able to respond directly to each candidate.
