Next Generation are currently recruiting for a CNC Setter Operator to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. Reporting to the Toolroom Manager, the CNC Setter Operator will be responsible for ensuring quality engineering of components using relevant procedures and methods.
Shift pattern for the CNC Setter Operator:
- Rotating double days (week one 6am – 2pm) (week two 2pm – 10pm)

Duties of the CNC Setter Operator:
- Machining quality components in accordance with technical engineering drawings and specifications
- Fanuc & Heidenhain controls
- Setting one off components using clamps, angle plates, etc.
- Deburring components and ensuring they are fit for transportation.
- Carry out daily bookings against route card jobs and timings.
- Inspection for all components throughout the process.
- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the Company’s H&S Policy.
The successful candidate for the CNC Setter Operator position will have the following experience:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience as a CNC Turner (Essential)
- Ability to use Fanuc & Heidenhain controls (Essential)
- Ability to program offline (Desirable)
- Able to read and interpret technical Engineering drawings (Essential)
