Next Generation have been appointed to recruit for a Compliance Manager to work for a well-established manufacturing business who specialise in the manufacture of precision machined components. As the Compliance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation adheres to all customer, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
Duties of the Compliance Manager:
- Review all customer specifications and non-PO contracts, ensuring the business understands and meets its obligations.
- Interpret and communicate contractual and regulatory requirements across the organisation.
- Liaise with customers to complete compliance documentation and support non-quality audits (e.g. JOSCAR, IT/Cyber, Conflict Minerals, REACH).
- Lead all export control activities, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and internal procedures.
- Ensure all documentation and data are handled in accordance with customer requirements, including Official Sensitive (OS) information.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Work with HR to ensure BPSS compliance and support personnel vetting requirements.
- Monitor and regularly report on compliance risks, escalating issues where necessary.
- Deliver internal training and guidance on compliance, export control, and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement of compliance systems and processes.
- Proactively stay abreast of changes in the legal and compliance landscape.
The successful candidate for the Compliance Manager's position will have the following experience:
- Five years experience working within a Compliance Manager's role (Essential)
- Experience working within aerospace or defence related industries (Essential)
- Managing export controls (Essential)
- Previous experience working with turned parts or a machining environment (Desirable)
- Previous experience working within precision manufacturing (Essential)
