Due to continued growth, I am currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to work with a well-established machining business near Oldbury. As the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the continued performance and reliability of our manufacturing operations. The right candidate should possess a mixture of electrical and mechanical skills.
Duties of the Maintenance Engineer:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on manual, CNC, and injection moulding machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults quickly and effectively
- Respond to breakdowns and machine issues to minimise downtime
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and performance
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Work safely and ensure all maintenance activities comply with company procedures
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams across sites to support operational goals
The successful candidate for the Maintenance Engineer position will have the following experience:
- 3 - 5 years experience working as a Maintenance Engineer (Essential)
- Ability to read mechanical engineering drawings (Essential)
- Ability to read electrical schematics (Essential)
- Experienced with maintaining & repairing machining centres, lathes and other plant equipment (Essential)
- Attention to detail with the ability to analyse, fault find and implement solutions (Essential)
