Shift pattern for the Maintenance Engineer:
- Week one - Monday - Thursday (6:00 am - 16:00 pm)
- Week two - Monday - Thursday (6:00 am - 14:00 pm)
Due to continued growth, I am currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. As the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with supporting operations teams by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activities and facilitating the promotion of engineering solutions for process improvement to ensure process availability and productivity are optimised.
Duties of the Maintenance Technician:
- Maintain and repair plant machinery and ancillary equipment in a safe and productive manner in order to maximise availability at optimum cost.
- Adhere to the preventative maintenance programmes to ensure that unplanned downtime is to a minimum.
- Ensure engineering spares and inventory on site are managed within budget constraints and equipment downtime is minimised.
- Undertake maintenance at short notice.
- Understand, deploy and seek to recommend improvements to production control procedures to support team performance objectives.
The successful candidate for the Maintenance Technician position will have the following experience:
- 3 - 5 years experience working as a Maintenance Engineer (Essential)
- Able to read and interpret technical Engineering drawings
- Experience within heavy engineering (Desirable)
