Next Generation have been appointed to recruit for an HR & Payroll Administrator to work with an engineering business who supply parts into multiple industries. As the HR & Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for providing accurate, timely administrative and processing support across Payroll & HR, maintaining employee records and processing payroll inputs.
Duties of the HR & Payroll Administrator:
- Process monthly payroll inputs - new starters, leavers, pay changes, overtime, absence and expenses accurately and to the payroll deadline, liaising with the payroll bureau to resolve data queries.
- Administration support regarding statutory payroll processes, including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP calculations, issuing P45s and P60s, and processing pension auto-enrolment opt-ins, opt-outs and contribution uploads.
- Maintain and update employee records, personnel files and the HR system, ensuring data is accurate, complete and held securely and confidentially.
- Process new starter and leaver administration - right-to-work checks, references, contracts and system access and issue standard employment documentation from approved templates.
- Maintain absence, holiday, training and certification records; produce routine HR and payroll reports; and file and archive documentation in line with GDPR and the company's data retention policy.
The successful candidate for the HR & Payroll Administrator's position will have the following experience:
- 3-5 years experience processing payroll cycles and statutory payroll documentation (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, P45, P60) - (Essential)
- Pension auto-enrolment administration - (Essential)
- HR/Payroll system and Excel skills - (Essential)
- CIPD Level 3 - (Desirable)
