As a Program Director within our Global Private Bank Chief Data Office, you will be a key driver in transforming strategic plans into tangible programs and projects, delivering impactful results across various business units. You will lead complex, high-visibility programs, managing risks, and ensuring alignment of operations with our business strategy. You'll leverage your advanced knowledge in project management and data analytics to monitor program progress, make informed decisions, and communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders. Your expertise in cross-functional collaboration and conflict management will be crucial in fostering a productive work environment and resolving potential issues.
Job responsibilities
- Manages the Measure 8 (Lineage) workstream to implement robust data management capabilities that satisfy regulatory requirements, while enabling strategic business objectives across risk, finance and technology functions.
- Maintains an awareness of any interdependencies with other workstreams in the Program, and assumes responsibility for delivery in line with the Plan agreed with the European Central Bank.
- Leads the day-to-day delivery of BCBS 239 requirements for risk data aggregation, validation, reconciliation and reporting.
- Develops, documents and operationalizes elements of the data governance framework covering lineage, quality, metadata and retention.
- Establishes and monitors key performance indicators for data quality, completeness, timeliness and reporting efficiency.
- Presents regular status updates to governance forums and senior stakeholders on BCBS 239 milestones, risks and remediation plans.
- Coordinates with Governance, Compliance, Risk and Legal partners to ensure all data practices adhere to internal policies and external regulations.
- Supports regulatory stress testing, capital-planning exercises and examination preparations by ensuring robust, auditable data foundations.
- Identifies regional or local data-privacy issues and escalates to global governance teams as needed.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Understanding of SQL, Python or R, and hands-on experience with relational and cloud databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, AWS/Azure).
- Knowledge in enterprise ETL/ELT tools and data-integration platforms for large-scale processing.
- Familiarity with data-governance frameworks, master-data management and metadata repositories.
- Knowledge of risk-management systems and regulatory-reporting workflows in JPSME.
- Understanding of financial-markets technology, including trading systems and market-data platforms or systems in JOMSE.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex regulations into practical, scalable solutions.
- Proven leadership and influencing skills, capable of driving alignment across global, cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project-management capabilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management and regulators.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and lead change-management initiatives.

- Practical experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and micro-services or data-mesh architectures preferable.
