Insurance technician Working within the operations team this is an excellent opportunity for someone with a min 12 month insurance experience to make their mark and gain superb career opportunities. As an Established Technician in our Operations Team, you will provide technical processing support to the Technical Team and Broking Divisions through standard and increasingly non-standard processing, in line with compliance, FCA and internal audit guidelines. You will use your broader technical and market knowledge to make routine decisions, resolve issues, check the work of others and support less experienced colleagues. Responsibilities Complete standard and increasingly non-standard processing prioritising workload to meet service levels Use judgement to identify issues, analyse information and resolve routine problems . Create, process and check accurate documentation, data and management information using relevant systems. Perform quality control checks on other technicians’ work in accordance with agreed processes. Train and support less experienced colleagues as required. Identify potential errors and omissions risks, recommend appropriate action and escalate promptly. Contribute to ad hoc tasks, projects and improvements to team processes or data quality. Manage competing priorities and adjust plans when requirements change. Build trusted relationships within the team and effective relationships with wider internal stakeholders. Use feedback, data and technology to improve own performance and service delivery. You will need Sound understanding of insurance principles and the policy lifecycle An understanding of classes of business. Understanding of applicable broking, claims, premium and delegated authority processes. Understanding of London Market processes, insurance distribution channels and the wider insurance industry. Understanding of the link between the role and IBA. Ability to analyse information, make routine decisions and solve problems using policies and procedures. Ability to work with moderate guidance and recognise when escalation is required. Competent use of relevant business systems, Microsoft Excel and Power BI reports. Strong communication, organisation, customer service and stakeholder relationship skills. CII Cert, or equivalent relevant technical knowledge and experience.
