Job Description
We are seeking a Business Continuity Analyst to join a leading insurance company in the City of London. You will be part of the Business Continuity team, working closely with colleagues in the UK and USA, ensuring the business is well-prepared to respond to disruptions and protect employees, clients, and operations.
The Role
As a Business Continuity Analyst, you will:
- Support the development, execution, and maintenance of business continuity documentation including Business Impact Analyses and office risk assessments.
- Contribute to crisis management, disaster recovery, and preparedness planning across the organization.
- Coordinate and document business continuity exercises and testing of mass notification systems.
- Provide support during live incidents impacting business operations.
- Deliver and track training for local crisis management teams and new employees.
- Act as a key point of contact to disseminate information on business continuity processes, standards, and initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with strong organizational and communication skills, along with proven business continuity experience. The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a BCM, crisis management, incident management, or IT disaster recovery role.
- Familiarity with mass notification platforms (e.g., AlertFind, Send Word Now, Everbridge).
- Knowledge of business continuity software (Fusion, Cobalt, LDRPS, etc.) and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
- A solid understanding of BCM standards and frameworks.
- CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) designation desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently as a self-starter.
