Our client, a fast growing Lloyd's Insurance syndicate, is recruiting a Lead Application Support Analyst to join their Applications team concentrating on supporting Financial systems - general ledger.
The Lead Application Support Analyst will have a strong technical breadth, with the ability to troubleshoot across networks, databases, infrastructure, and applications. This is an active role in Serious Incident Management, Change and Enhancement delivery and Problem Management, often coordinating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Previous experience working in the Insurance Market is essential, preferably London market as you will need a good understanding of how premiums, claims, risk etc. operate within this sector.
Key responsibilities
- Providing 1st/2nd Line application support
- Overseeing the implementation, development and maintenance of all applications
- Lead the planning and coordination of changes, including sprint activities, workload allocation, and delivery oversight
- Manage and guide the team in providing production/application support and maintenance across the full application estate, while also contributing to project-related initiatives
- Oversee and participate in the preparation and execution of business testing phases
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to team members, supporting their development and ensuring high standards of performance and delivery
Skills / experience required
- 5-8 years’ experience supporting insurance applications to include Financial / Accounting systems
- Excellent knowledge of SQL including SSAS is essential
- Experience supporting Sun Ledger or similar general ledger systems
- Excellent knowledge of Windows client server technology
- Previous experience working in a lead/senior role providing application support
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
