12-18 month initial contract for Senior HR leader ideally with experience in London market insurance.
This is a time of significant growth, change and transformation and you will be responsible for the design, management and delivery of the end to end HR agenda across the UK business. Leading a team of HR professionals within a matrix CoE operating model as well as rolling up your sleeves and acting in a hands on capacity.
You will ensure seamless collaboration between all HR functions ensuring they work harmoniously to the same end goal. Aligning HR initiatives with business goals, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and the regulatory requirements of the PRA and FCA .
Key responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
As a key part of the UK Leadership team you will act as a trusted advisor and provide
strategic HR insights and solutions to drive business success.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Ensuring alignment between HRBP activities and CoE functions, such as Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Employee Relations.
Talent Acquisition and Development
Alongside the CoE you will support the recruitment strategy to attract top talent, ensuring the business has the skills and capabilities needed for growth. You will drive leadership development initiatives and succession planning building a robust leadership pipeline.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
You will work with the leadership team and be the escalation point for complex employee relations. You will champion employee engagement initiatives, reviewing, measuring and acting on feedback to enhance workplace satisfaction and productivity. You will foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and innovation across the organization.
Regulatory Compliance and Governance
You will ensure all HR activities comply with UK employment legislation and the regulatory requirements particularly regarding roles that fall under the SMCR.
HR Operations and Analytics:
Alongside HR operations CoE you will oversee the delivery and development of HR services and operational excellence. You will develop the use of HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and continuously improve HR processes and outcomes.
Performance Management and Culture Building:
As part of the UK Leadership Team you will promote and drive a high-performance culture, ensuring alignment with business goals. You will oversee performance management processes as well as leading initiatives to promote DEI.
Change Management and Transformation:
Partner with the CEO UK and leadership team on change management initiatives, ensuring successful execution of organizational changes, restructures, or acquisitions.
Alongside this you will support the business during periods of rapid growth, designing HR strategies that enable scalability and operational excellence.
You should be available ideally immediately or if not within max 8 weeks
- Strong understanding of UK employment law, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements of the PRA and FCA.
- Proven experience in strategic HR business partnering, supporting senior leadership teams, C-suite executives, and boards of directors.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing HR teams in a matrix CoE operating model.
- Exceptional relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization, .
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in scaling organizations, within the insurance or financial services sector ESSENTIAL
- Genuine enjoyment and satisfaction within an environment of change and HR Transformation.
- You should be a Graduate with CIPD and a min of 8 years within a senior/lead HRBP role which must have been gained within a regulated environment.
- You should see the value of retaining hands on involvement alongside the design, delivery and ownership of the strategic HR business plan.
