Credit Risk Manager
We have a unique opportunity for a Credit Manager to join a Global Insurance firm in their Political Risk team. They offer a full suite of tailored Political Risk and Credit Insurance products with an experienced team via underwriting hubs in London and globally. The team has significant position in the business and currently manages over USD several billions worth of credit limits.

The Role:
- Analysing transactions and providing credit recommendations across multiple sectors and geographies in the areas of corporate credit, asset finance, structured commodity finance, sovereign risk and project finance;
- Extracting and analysing sector and product research for use in sector analysis, peer groups and regular reports
- Collaborating with underwriters to get the required information to support underwriting decisions
- Provide both country risk analysis and project analysis
- Analysing financial information, such as financial statements, management accounts and cash flow forecasts. Assessing the credit worthiness of client companies
- Attend conferences and presentations to understand client demand drivers, develop sector knowledge, and market intelligence.
- Participate and actively contribute to transaction related meetings, both internal and with clients and brokers as well as developing relationships with analysts, brokers and underwriters across the market
- Liaising with other staff within the company, such as ERM to assess risk appropriately
- Staying informed about appropriate legal, compliance and market-risk-related issues
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in a similar role within either a Credit Insurer or Lending institution
- Broad credit knowledge with an ability to apply knowledge and experience across sectors and products
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics or equivalent training
- Excellent statistical/analytical skills to be able to interrogate and interpret data.
- Proficient user of Excel and Bloomberg
- Ability to work well as part of a small local team
- Good communication skills (written/oral) and an ability to deal with personnel at all levels
