A fantastic opportunity for someone who has some office experience but is looking to start their career within a facilities role. My client is looking to enhance their team with this new addition. You will have full training and will be eligible to gain your IOSH with the company.

The Role

This role supports the smooth day-to-day operation of our London office, with a primary focus on managing postal and delivery services. It also provides broader facilities and workplace support across Health & Safety, office coordination, and ad-hoc projects to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming workplace. The role involves some manual handling; full training and risk assessments will be provided.

Postal & Delivery Management

  • Manage relationships with postal and courier providers
  • Coordinate deliveries, loading bay access, and building security
  • Receive, distribute, log, scan, and securely handle incoming and outgoing post
  • Maintain accurate delivery, courier, and cost recharge logs
  • Manage confidential post and secure document destruction
  • Escalate delivery or service issues when required
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and manual handling procedures

Workplace & Facilities Support

  • Support workplace projects, office moves, events, and meeting room setup
  • Manage facilities ticketing system and inbox
  • Conduct daily floor walks and Health & Safety checks
  • Act as Fire Marshal and First Aider (training provided)
  • Coordinate contractors and maintenance activity
  • Monitor and replenish office supplies

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Identify and escalate safety hazards and incidents
  • Support audits, inspections, and emergency responses
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure GDPR and data protection compliance

Experience & Skills

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive, hands-on, and detail-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable dealing with internal teams, suppliers, and building management
  • Willingness to learn (training provided for H&S, First Aid, Fire Marshal, and manual handling)
