Technician for Ceded Reinsurance team
Main areas of responsibility:
- Account preparation and analysis for all ceded types.
- Assist with the cash entry and application process for all ceded types.
- Assist with the calculation and booking of premiums and claims recoveries for XOL, facultative and quota share covers within core systems.
- Prepare and maintain proportional treaty statement aging schedules for internal reporting and tracking of overdue accounts.
- Liaise with cash analysts, underwriting departments, Claims department, brokers and clients to resolve queries.
- Ensure high quality data and contract set up within the reinsurance systems.
- Assist with the ceded Aged Debt and Unallocated Cash Analysis.
- Utilisation of technology to maximize efficiency of the ceded reinsurance department.
You will need:
- Ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance principles.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
- London market company experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented and strong problem solver with analytical abilities.
- Demonstrated positive attitude and works well within a team environment.
- Strong computer skills – knowledge of Microsoft Excel Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and MS PowerPoint preferred.
- SAP experience preferred.
