The role:

Joining our vital Warehouse & Distribution Loss Prevention Department, you will play a central role in protecting our wider supply chain, online platforms, and operations across the UK and Ireland. As our department advances its data-led focus, your core purpose will be to extract and transform information from internal systems and Databricks into clear, exception-based reports that actively prevent theft, fraud, and business loss. Working alongside our Process & Investigations Manager, external law enforcement, and key cross-functional teams, you will make a measurable difference by turning raw stock loss metrics into actionable operational protections. From day one, NEXT will support your development with comprehensive training on our internal tools and loss prevention data systems, giving you everything you need to lead from the front, drive continuous procedural improvements, and step up to support and deputise for our Investigations Manager when required.

What you’ll Take on:

• Sourced from Databricks tables, you will design, build, and maintain high-performing loss prevention datastreams for NDL to create actionable exception-based reports.

• Analyse complex warehouse stock loss datasets across the entire logistics arena—including total platform, international and domestic brands, and online outbound and inbound customer orders & claims—to identify gaps and understand underlying risks.

• Utilise data-mining techniques to spot links in criminal activity and behaviour, assisting in the successful apprehension and prosecution of offenders.

• Collaborate closely with Law Enforcement agencies, producing court-quality reports and statements that serve as robust evidence in criminal proceedings.

• Provide comprehensive analytical support directly to the Head of NDL Loss Prevention to drive data-led decision-making.

• Act as a senior point of contact across the wider business, impact-assessing procedural changes and communicating updates to relevant teams in a timely manner.

• Deputise for the Investigations Manager when required, taking on line responsibility for the investigations team and contributing to Senior Manager meetings, director briefings, and cross business forums.

• Formulate and share clear recommendations to develop, improve, and maintain existing theft and fraud prevention controls, systems, and operational strategies.

What you’ll bring:

You will be an excellent communicator and relationship builder, able to work with people at all levels within the business, be proactive in your approach and possess strong analytical skills. You will be able to demonstrate strong technology and computer skills, able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of G-Suite, notably Google Docs and Sheets to report and analyse information

The successful applicant will have previous experience of working within a similar Loss Prevention role or a similar industry would be advantageous.

You will have a flexible approach to working hours and successfully complete a DBS application.

Please note: This role is subject to DBS and credit checks. You can find comprehensive information regarding spent and unspent convictions on the official government website: gov.uk/tell-employer-or-college-about-criminal-record.
