Working Pattern: Working 5 days in the office, with core hours flexible between 8am-6pm.
The Role: Our Level 4 merchandiser apprenticeship opportunity will provide you with on the job experience at our Next Head office, as well as structured learning with the Fashion Retail Academy. You will work closely with our experienced merchandising teams to gain the knowledge, skills and experience to take on one of our Trainee Merchandiser roles and progress to Assistant Merchandiser and beyond. If you love working with numbers and are enthusiastic about fashion then this is the role for you!
What You’ll Take On: Your apprenticeship will take around 18 months to complete and you will explore content areas through theoretical learning and practical application in our head office, where you will immerse yourself in the product life cycle. The learning will be a mix of online, and face to face learning based at the Fashion Retail Academy’s brand new campus in London, opening in September 2024.
What You’ll Bring: We are looking for someone who is really comfortable working with figures/numbers (highly numerate!), has the ability to interpret data and has a genuine passion for fashion and products. You will need to have a natural interest in the commercial fashion world, be happy to work in a fast paced environment and have the ability to multitask. It's all about collaboration and great teamwork so you will need to be an excellent team player and communicator!
Sponsorship: NEXT has assessed the role advertised and based on current UKVI criteria, the Merchandiser/Buyer role is not eligible for skilled worker sponsorship. If you hold a Visa that allows you to complete the training, NEXT will be unable to sponsor you at the conclusion of the training, and expects that you will have alternative Immigration status to take up the role.
