You will be fully embedded within the brand, acting as the vital bridge linking our internal brand strategy, creative vision, and trading calendars with the technical powerhouse of the Next Total Platform. You will lead a dedicated cross-functional team, spearhead platform prioritisation, and leverage data, AI, and e-commerce innovations to maximise profitability, optimise the customer journey, and scale our brand’s digital presence globally.

A significant part of this role will involve collaborative leadership with our core brand partner, NEXT, to deliver best-in-class eCommerce and marketing solutions. Additionally, you will be accountable for digitally replicating these successes across our partnership portfolio to ensure brand consistency, deliver omnichannel campaigns & drive incremental growth across the business.

Working Pattern: This is a full time role based at ‘The Barn’ - Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The typical hours for this role are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and this is an onsite role. However, due to the intrinsic link between us and our key digital partner, NEXT, 1-2 days a week will be required at their Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire.

What You'll Do:

  • Working in collaboration with the internal department leads, and our external digital partners, you will be accountable for the brand's digital growth, strategic leadership, and overall commercial trading performance across our entire digital estate.
  • Brand Integration & Strategic Leadership: Act as the primary internal champion and point of contact at Joules for everything e-commerce related. You will ensure deep information flow between our leadership, marketing agencies and platform operators to seamlessly resolve operational friction. Fostering a culture of initiative, mentorship, and succession planning. You will also maintain and optimise the P&L view of our platform resources, monitoring quarterly financial statements to drive internal efficiencies.
  • Growth Strategy & Commercial Trading: Set and drive the long term commercial roadmap for the brand website and third party digital estate, appraising all growth ideas for commercial viability. Develop a deep understanding of our trading calendars and customer shopping behaviours to capitalise on peak trading opportunities, optimise marketing metrics, and drive international growth. You will continuously monitor daily and weekly KPIs to deliver concise, action oriented updates to internal executive stakeholders.
  • Digital Optimisation & Innovation: Champion a continuous testing culture across navigation, sort orders, and user journeys to reduce friction and drive incremental sales. Drive sophisticated personalisation strategies, such as tailored product recommendations, and implement automation and AI tools to streamline day to day tasks. You will stay ahead of all technical developments on the Next e-commerce platform to ensure our digital capabilities remain cutting edge. You will use your experience to replicate this, where appropriate, across our digital partnerships.
  • Customer Experience & Retention: Partner closely with internal marketing and digital squads to scale new customer acquisition while refining CRM processes to increase repeat purchase frequency and Customer Lifetime Value. You will advocate for our customers digitally, translating technical platform features into customer friendly experiences that complement their well dressed time off.
  • Paid Digital Marketing & Performance Strategy: Define and drive the paid digital marketing strategy alongside the internal team, external agencies and marketing data scientists, ensuring all channels operate within tight efficiency guidelines. Maintain ownership of marketing spend to deliver sustainable profitable growth against agreed marketing metrics, test emerging acquisition channels, and design well thought out testing plans for ad creatives and landing pages.

What You'll Bring:

  • E-commerce Leadership: A proven track record of growing high performing e-commerce sites, with a deep understanding of retail trading, CRO, data funnels, and international scaling.
  • Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong experience managing P&Ls, reviewing financial statements, and driving cost efficiencies.
