Role Purpose

The Marketing Executive is responsible for supporting the multi-channel digital marketing strategy across NEXT Wholly Owned Brands. Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, internal teams at NEXT, and external media agencies, this role drives customer engagement and brand exposure through the execution, delivery, and performance reporting of email, paid digital, push, and international marketing campaigns. Combining a commercial mindset with a passion for digital trends, the Marketing Executive ensures a seamless brand experience across all digital touchpoints to optimise seasonal trade and maximise sales.

Role Responsibilities

  • Email Marketing: Supports weekly UK editorial email briefing and delivery - selecting products based on trade, customer mindset and campaign/product priorities or trends. Supports email planning, reporting and performance optimisation. Supports ad-hoc campaign email briefing and delivery.
  • Paid Marketing: Work closely with the organic social teams to support paid social briefing (post video selection) and own the handover process to Next and our media agency cross brand. Supports seasonal paid search briefing - supply our agency/Next with search copy updates for generic PPC text ads. Supports Next BAU paid social and display delivery and handovers - UK & International. Attends campaign calls to check paid product stock and support with any Next queries. Supports paid marketing performance and reporting with a focus on TikTok Sparks. Work with wider NEXT partnership teams to support paid campaign delivery for our own brands.
  • Push Marketing: Supports weekly Push notification briefing and delivery - creating compelling push copy with clear CTAs that align with brand tone and user expectations. Supports Push reporting and performance optimisation.
  • Digital Marketing & Planning: Support with seasonal planning and market research. Link boosting and tracking. Working with the brands team at NEXT to ensure links are supplied and boosted in a timely manner for all digital marketing handovers - paid, email and push. Support our trading team to support UK onsite exposure and activations for our brands.
  • International Marketing: Work closely with the International teams at NEXT to ensure maximum exposure for our brands in our top territories. Support with planning, briefing, delivering and reporting on 5-6 monthly international email creatives. Provide campaign assets and URLs for digital marketing and onsite exposure. Supporting trade teams with product line-lists for promotional URLs. Support with providing marketing assets for our brands to sell via Zalando.

Technical Requirements

  • Previous experience in a varied marketing role ideally for a retail/lifestyle brand (agency experience would also be reviewed)
  • Some understanding/experience in paid social and email marketing
  • Passionate about fashion
  • Analytical with a commercial mindset
  • Up to date with what’s trending on social
  • Highly organised and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Great attention to detail
  • Team player with excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong sense of initiative and full of ideas
