Description

Working Pattern: Typically 5 days in the office, with core hours flexible between 8am-6pm.

The Role
Based in central London.

When it comes to UK retail, it’s hard to find a company with a bigger brand portfolio. We sell hundreds of brands on our website and have now developed a business designing and manufacturing many of the brands under licence. It is a fast growing part of our business and we are looking to extend our portfolio of brands. For anyone in a buying role - Next is the place to learn, grow and thrive.

What You’ll Take On
We have a really exciting opportunity for an experienced Childrenswear Buyer with a focus on Girlswear to join the Licensed Brands team at Next, where we design and manufacture collections for brands such as Paul Smith, Ted Baker, Little Bird, Superdry and AllSaints. From researching the latest trends through to analysing data, planning and presenting the ranges, you’ll work hard to manufacture elevated designs that reflect the brand’s 'DNA' and handwriting.

This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, self motivated buyer who has experience working at pace across varied suppliers and product categories.

What You’ll Bring
You will have the ability to source multiple product ranges across childrenswear. You’ll be an experienced buyer with strong analytical and planning skills as well as having a commercial focus. You should be able to easily identify the latest trends and have a comprehensive understanding of the market. A proven track record in identifying growth opportunities and trading ranges in-season is crucial. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for effective collaboration with the design, merchandise and technical teams.

Your attitude will be of utmost importance - you will be resilient, adaptable to change and open to new ways of working.

Building successful team relationships, instilling confidence and trust in our partnerships is key to the success of the department and we hope this could be you!

Your Team
You will be working with a like minded and creative team who have a real passion for product and a shared goal to push the brands forward. Collaborating to innovate and bring your ideas and designs to life ensuring they align with the brands handwriting, current market trends and our customers’ needs.

Sponsorship
Candidates wishing to apply who would require sponsorship for this role will be required to meet the Home Office sponsorship requirements. For further information please see: https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa.

We encourage early applications for our roles, as our recruitment process begins as soon as the role is advertised. If we successfully fill the position, this advert may close earlier than planned.

At NEXT, we believe the best work happens when there are no barriers to collaboration. That’s why we are a Google-powered workspace. From your very first day, you’ll be using the full Google Workspace suite; Docs, Drive, and Meet, to stay connected and move fast.

If your previous experience is rooted in other software suites, don’t worry! We’ll point you to a digital Google toolkit the moment you join, packed with handy guides and insider tips to help you transition smoothly and hit the ground running.
