We are looking for a driven Product Content Assistant to join our eCommerce team based from NEXT Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire. As a Product Content Assistant, you are responsible for the hands-on processing of product data and content for online publication alongside actioning commercial optimisation opportunities.
These optimisation opportunities will be focused on enriching on-site attributes for discoverability, actioning updates from commercial testing to enhance on-site product copy and imagery, and working with reporting to devise the workload based on commercial ordering.
What You’ll Take On:- Offshore Team Leadership: Lead, train, and brief the offshore team, setting clear daily priorities and KPIs to ensure seamless delivery. Foster a collaborative environment through effective delegation and regular process assessments to drive productivity and quality.
- Product Onboarding: Hands-on processing of the product throughout the product journey from eCommerce arrival to live publication, ensuring strict adherence to 'Time to Live' SLAs and data integrity. Use retail performance reports and commercial metrics to prioritise workload, ensuring high-potential products are live and optimised first.
- Copy Optimisation & Enrichment: Own the creation and enrichment of product titles, descriptions, and SEO banners to maximise discoverability and organic rankings. Enhance product pages with lifestyle content, technical specs, and model data, while maintaining brand voice and legal compliance (e.g., Greenwashing & Trademarks).
- Attribution & Search Element: Manage item-level attribution, URL taxonomy, and filtering rules to ensure intuitive customer navigation based on shopping trends. Implement robust QA processes - leveraging manual checks and automation - to standardise data and categorisation across the site.
- Imagery & Visual Optimisation: Manage PLP/PDP imagery, ensuring all assets meet brand standards for quality, count, and visual storytelling (including 360 views and video). Collaborate with the Studio and Product teams to provide feedback on imagery requirements and explore AI opportunities for visual workflows.
- Collaboration & Communication: Proactively identify and implement AI-driven workflows for copy generation, image QA, and reporting to increase operational efficiency. Act as a key liaison between Trade, Studio, and Product teams, presenting performance metrics and process improvements to senior management.
- Experience managing offshore teams, with a focus on delegation, KPI setting, and performance management.
- Deep knowledge of the product onboarding lifecycle, including data integrity, URL taxonomy, and attribute management.
- Strong copywriting skills with an SEO mindset and an eye for visual storytelling and imagery optimisation.
- Ability to analyse sales metrics and customer data to prioritise workloads and drive onsite conversions.
- Proficient in eCommerce platforms, with a proactive interest in leveraging AI and automation to improve workflows.
- A confident communicator able to bridge the gap between Product, Studio, and Tech teams.
