About the Role

The Development team plays a key role within the eCommerce department, constantly working to improve our websites and mobile apps to deliver a seamless and engaging shopping experience for our customers. From enhancing site performance and functionality to implementing new features and technologies, the team ensures our eCommerce platforms are fast, reliable and customer focused.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prioritisation and Value Delivery: Take full ownership of the product backlog, prioritising initiatives to deliver value at pace in collaboration with the Product Channel Manager.
  • Stakeholder Alignment and Communication: Proactively engage and manage senior internal stakeholders to capture business needs, manage expectations and effectively communicate the product initiatives, alongside associated risks.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish and track core Mobile App performance, product health and eCommerce KPIs (e.g., conversion, retention, crash-free sessions) and use in depth analytical insights and customer feedback to validate hypotheses and inform all product decisions.
  • Empowering the Team: Lead daily product efforts, guiding the development team (Developers, QA, BAs) through Agile/SCRUM ceremonies and ensuring clarity in requirements, ultimately serving as the key driver for team progress and motivation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Product Owner within the retail or eCommerce sector.
  • A solid understanding of the mechanics of online trading and customer shopping behaviours.
  • Thought leader in digital space, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Can quickly and accurately identify any issues or risks associated with a project as well as implementing a solution.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into commercial updates for a range of audiences.
  • A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change.
  • Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach to defining success supported by analytical data.
  • Extensive experience working in Agile environments and mastering SCRUM methodologies to deliver value at pace.
  • Highly motivated and hardworking, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
