At Next we are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our onsite Nursery catering team. You will be a vital part of our daily operations, ensuring our kitchen is a safe, clean, and efficient environment where nutritious meals are prepared for our little ones. As a Kitchen Porter, you are the backbone of our kitchen. Your primary focus is maintaining impeccable hygiene and sanitation standards, ensuring that every dish, surface, and piece of equipment meets the highest safety requirements.
What You’ll Take On:
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment and hand-wash specialty items.
- Deep-clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and dining areas.
- Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately and keep disposal areas tidy.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Support our chefs with basic tasks like peeling vegetables, portioning ingredients, and prepping snacks.
- Keep storage areas and the kitchen environment organized for smooth workflow.
