We’re looking for a Digital Channel Lead to join our Digital Marketing team on a 12 Month FTC (maternity cover) at Next! Based from Next Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire! Next is one of the UK’s most profitable and well established retail brands, with a rapidly growing global eCommerce footprint. As our digital operations continue to scale, reaching the right customers with the right message at the perfect moment has never been more critical.

The Role: As a Digital Channel Lead, you will take ownership of our programmatic, video and app acquisition display channels, on a 12 month FT maternity cover contract. In this pivotal role, you will govern a multi million pound budget and shape the strategy that fuels our online growth in the UK market. If you are passionate about ad-tech, thrive on optimising complex media buys, and want to make a tangible impact at a FTSE 100 retail giant, this is the opportunity for you.

What You’ll Take On:

  • Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of programmatic display activity via Display & Video 360 (DV360). You will manage innovation & testing, complex audience segmentation & robust measurement experiments.
  • Lead our paid YouTube Demand Gen strategy. You will orchestrate activity across various formats (YouTube In-stream, In-feed & Shorts) to drive brand consideration, and push lower-funnel action, driving incremental conversions and revenue.
  • Drive high quality user acquisition and conversions on the Next app. You will strategise and execute app display banners, optimising for cost-per-install (CPI) and ROAS, driving both customer acquisition and incremental revenue growth.
  • Manage significant media budgets with precision. You will forecast, allocate, and pace spend across campaigns while being held accountable for strict business targets.
  • Work closely with our in-house creative studios to ensure display banners and video assets are built to platform best practices. You will champion a rigorous A/B testing framework for creative performance.
  • Partner with the Data Science team to understand the incremental impact of display channels. You will plan, manage and execute conversion lift studies to prove the value of your channels alongside our 3rd party media agency.

What You’ll Bring:

  • You possess deep, hands-on experience running large scale campaigns within DV360 and Google Ads as well as experience with independent app media partners.
  • Previous experience working within a fast paced retail, fashion, or high volume eCommerce environment.
  • You have a strong command of the media platforms digital analytics suites and of managing complex data sets.
  • You don't just report on the numbers; you translate data into actionable commercial insights.
  • You understand how display and video fit into the broader marketing mix and can build strategies that bridge the gap between brand awareness and direct response.
  • You can articulate complex programmatic concepts to non-technical stakeholders and have a proven track record of managing relationships with external vendors and Google account managers.
  • You keep your finger on the pulse of the digital landscape, staying ahead of the curve on privacy changes, cookie deprecation, and emerging ad-tech trends.
